Take a Break Day - A Day of Meditation, Journey and Trance

Being in the midst of the Winter Season can bring with it a variety of feelings and emotions. The days are still cold and the sun still sets early evening and we can find ourselves longing for Spring. We need to remember to honor this time of year. It's a time of year to go within to find our own Inner Light. To renew and restore our Spirit in order to move into spring, fully refreshed.

On February 19th, we will have our 1st Annual "Take a Break Day- A Day of Meditation, Journey and Trance" This day is design for the warmth and comfort we long for in the middle of Winter. To take a break from the world, hibernating and going within.

We will gather from 10:00am to 4:30pm. Spending the day in various (and fun) Meditations, Journeys and Trance. For the more adventuresome and early risers, a morning walking meditation will be at Rancho San Rafael Park Labyrinth at 8:30am.

The Om Home Book Club

We have had requests to start an Om Home Book Club. So we will start our book club this month on February 21st at 6:30pm. Join us this month as we lay the foundation for our group-deciding day, time and the book. This will replace the book study that was formerly held on Sundays with the community pot luck dinner. (We will continue a community pot luck dinner and gatherings on a quarterly basis at the Equinox' and Solstice celebrations.) Once again the only cost is a donation.

Guided Shamanic Journey & Meditation

This month our journeys and meditation will be focusing on returning to peace. Diane will guide you on a journey to other realms to: solve problems, find divine helpers, access wisdom to discover answers to questions, to gain new perceptions and find inner peace and relaxation. In this short session with Shamanic Energy Practitioner Diane Hageman, we will focus on one issue that you would like some help with. It could be an issue you've worked on or one that you can't seem to move past or maybe some help to clear the last of it. I have been reminded recently, that there is no need to struggle and suffer, to reach out to and find a little help. Diane sets the intention for these sessions to clear any energy that will help you and also a chance to see and experience for yourself, how working with energy can be so valuable and life-affirming.

There will two opportunities this month, Monday February 6th from 4:00-8:00pm and also Tuesday February 28th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Cost for each session $25.

This is an ongoing group that meets the 2nd Saturday of each month with astrologer, Eda Hatfield, to learn about the month's "Sky Planet Happenings," so you may plan your activities on the best days. We also cover how the current transiting planet movements impact the earth, weather, celebrities, countries, culture, etc. and whatever is going on of topical interest. We target current events from the point of view of basic astrology and articles from well-known astrologers. We review or learn about astrology while sharing the joys and challenges the universe sends us every month.

At our 2012 February’s Astrology Discussion Group, we will look how Mark Robertson describes the Powers of the 8th house. He divides these into three sections—soul, sex, and money. We may only get through one. As usual, we will discuss the current transits, apply them to current events and analyze a Mystery Chart or two. Last time, it was Romney, and Tebow. Did you know Mitt Romney is a Pisces? That kind of fits with his Health Care Plan adopted by Obama, and Tim Tebow has a stellium with Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury all conjunct in Leo and in a grand trine to Jupiter and Moon in Aries and trine to Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius? He’s definitely the fiery athlete.

Astrology Lab

Excavate Your Astrology Chart with Eda!

This group meets on the 1st Saturday of the month. Bring your Astrology Chart and join Eda and others to probe and analyze, your Zodiac Chart in an informal, fun, study group. We learn about one or two concepts; then Eda targets how these apply to your own personal chart. Everyone helps and shares together the insights we learn from, comparisons, questions and details of how these theories play in the mysteries of each other's charts.

At our 2012 February’s Astrology Lab, we will take the Test of the Strength of our Moon. We all passed as having very strong Suns last time.
